What is the EnergyWise Program?
The EnergyWise Program serving Rhode Island offers a no-cost in-home energy assessment to evaluate your homes energy efficiency. During the assessment an energy specialist will evaluate your energy use and look at things such as air leakage, insulation, ventilation, exterior doors, heating systems, hot water systems and more. A summary of recommendations will be presented at the end of the assessment. Homeowners may also receive no cost LED bulbs during the energy assessment for instant energy savings as well as a power strip. Qualifying homeowners may also receive programmable thermostats.
EnergyWise rebates up to 75% to an annual maximum of $4000.00 depending on your heating fuel type (oil, gas or electric) are available to qualifying homeowners. Rebates can be used to cover most of the cost of air sealing, insulation, ventilation and other upgrades.
0% financing to pay for qualifying energy upgrades (the balance not covered by rebates) is available to those who qualify.
The EnergyWise program is funded by an Energy Efficiency Charge on all customer utility bills as per Rhode Island General Law.

Mass Save is an initiative sponsored by Massachusetts’ natural gas and electric utilities and energy efficiency service providers. They work closely to provide a wide range of energy efficiency services to help residents and businesses manage energy use and related costs. Best of all the Mass Save program offers rebates that may cover up to 75% of targeted air-sealing, insulation, ventilation and more. Other incentives may also apply.
